ISF FORUM IN SINGAPORE

European Athlete as Student (EAS) – the Dual Career Network and European University Sports Association (EUSA) on 8th of December 2016, signed a  to improve cooperation between the organisations in the field of “Dual Career” for student athletes.

Dear Friends and Colleagues and Partners, The EAS Network improved its organization in 2016 by establishing its legal seat in Malta.

EAS 13TH ANNUAL CONFERENCE SUCCESSFUL HELD IN ROVANIEMI / FINLAND

Opening of the EAS 13th Annual Conference in Rovaniemi/ Finland was done by Mr. Niko Niemisalo, project manager and partner of the Organising Committee, Dr. Outi Hyry-Honka, Director of School of Social Services, Health and Sport, professor Kaarina Määttä, University of Lapland, Faculty of Education and Professor Laura Capranica, President of EAS.

ABOUT EAS

The European Athlete as Student (EAS) network has been founded in 2004 with support of EU Commission during The European Year of Education Through Sport (EYES). It is for universities, sports schools and other educational establishments interested in high performance sport as well as sports clubs and federations which are willing to help their athletes in their studies. The main aim of the EAS -network is to support European athletes in combining high performance sport and education.

Uniting partners involved in high performance sport and education.
Exchanging best practice between countries and institutions.
Improving conditions for high performance sport and education.
The link between educational institutions and sports organisations.
Actively developing research projects in sport and education.

WHAT WE PROVIDE

An annual EAS conference.
Inform our members about ongoing best practice.
Promote co-operation between institutions, coaches, teachers and students.
Discussion and debate around sport on a local, national and European level.
This web site to act as our Forum / Hub.

Supporting European athletes by combining high performance sport and education. Securing their future by ensuring a strong education or vocational background.
