Between January 25 and 27, 2018, the EU-funded ERASMUS+ project EMPATIA, had its kickoff meeting in Rome at Foro Italico, University of Rome.
EMPATIA – Education Model for Parents of AThletes In Academics will run from January 2018 till December 2020. The focus is on information about the roles of parents and entourage of athletes during their dual careers, and aims to offer online education tools in several languages for that specific supporting group of stakeholders (e.G. European Guidelines of Dual Career)
For that project 10 partners, representing 6 european countries, from higher education sector, club sector, governing and sports bodies and two European networks decided to apply together. The project lead is taken by the University of Ljubljana (SLO), partners are:
Starting with outcomes of preliminary findings in the field, the kick-off meeting aimed to bring the partners and their individual approach on the project to a common mind, discussed the working packages and related timelines and the proposed deliverables of the project. A strong focus was on the dissemination strategies, which will be crucial for the success.

hereby the Executive Committee likes to emphasize the member institutions to nominate candidates for the upcoming Executive Committee elections at the General Assembly of EAS in Coimbra / Portugal (12.-14. September 2018).
As mentioned in the General Assembly 2017 in Aarhus, the statutes point out the following rules for elections following the Maltese rules and regulations for Non Governmental Organizations with a legal seat in Malta.
