We are delighted to officially announce that a Consortium composed of the Olympic Chair in Management of Sports Organisations from the Université catholique de Louvain (UCL), the European Observatoire of Sport and Employment (EOSE), and Sport and Citizenship (S&C) has been appointed by the DG EAC Sport Unit and to carry out a feasibility study on possible future mobility measures for sport in the EU.
Completing the questionnaire
The questionnaire should take no more than 30 minutes to complete. Your responses will be treated anonymously and in confidence, although we may follow up to seek further information. If you need any assistance with completing the questionnaire, please contact the Management Team of the Study. Please click the link below to complete the questionnaire:
The aim of this project
To assess the opportunities for learning mobility within the sport sector, both within and outside of EU funded programmes; this will identify the range of barriers facing the sector’s involvement in learning mobility (specific consideration will be given to non-professional athletes and coaches, along with staff and volunteers of non-for profit sports organisations). A subsequent set of recommendations will be produced for the European Commission to consider with regard to the funding of learning mobility in the new EU programme for Education, Training, Youth and Sport “Erasmus for All” and the new “Citizenship Europe” programme, which will start in early 2014.
What is Learning Mobility?
Learning mobility occurs when an individual “moves to a country other than their country of residence, in order to undertake study, training or other learning, including traineeships and non formal learning, or teaching or participating in a transnational professional development activity. The objective of such experiences is to allow individuals to acquire new skills that will strengthen their future employability as well as their personal development.”
How can you help?
We would be very grateful if you could fill in an online questionnaire, which will be completed by a range of organisations from within the Sport Sector and will be the key evidence used within the project. It is therefore your opportunity to ensure that Sport can benefit from any future funding that the European Commission makes available for Learning Mobility.
