Partners of the project A Self-employment Career Option for Elite Athletes: Innovative Sport-focused Entrepreneurship Bootcamp (ELCAMP) met on November 4 in person in Warsaw, with some partners attending also online, reviewing the main project outcomes and setting the final tasks before the project officially concludes the end of December.
The ELCAMP project focus to strengthen skills and competences of elite and Paralympic athletes on sport-focused entrepreneurship with innovative methods and to connect athletes among themselves and with other people interested in the entrepreneurship.
Due to intensive training and competition schedule, elite athletes have a hard time keeping up with the requirements of the labour market in terms of business career including self-employability. For this reason, ELCAMP project is based on the “Bootcamp” approach, which is one of the most effective methods for them to keep up with this changing and developing labour market.
The Collaborative Partnership is coordinated by Collective Innovation AS (Norway) and includes the Hogskolen I Molde (Norway), Olimpijski Komite Slovenije Zdruzenje Sportnih Zvez (Slovenia), Fundacion Universitaria San Antonio (UCAM, Spain) Lietuvos Sporto Universitetas (Lithuania), Mobile Adventure Spolka Z Ograniczona Odpowiedzialnoscia (Poland), and EAS as Partners.
Future steps will comprise the dissemination of the Gamification-Based Learning, Mentoring and Networking Platform and its validation before December 2022. More information is available at the ELCAMP website https://www.bootcampforathletes.com
