The European Commission and the Education, Audiovisual and Culture Executive Agency (EACEA) organized at the 30th January in Brussels the annual ERASMUS+ Sport Info Day to inform about Erasmus+ Sport and other EU funding opportunities. The meeting was followed by a project coordinators’ meeting of the in Jan/Feb 2018 starting projects.
EAS was represented by its President, Prof. Laura Capranica, the Treasurer, Prof. Mojca Doupona-Topic and the Secretary General, Joerg Foerster. EAS is beyond others involved in the EU funded projects EMPATIA and AMID which do have their take of right now and is as well involved in the development of applications for the next term of other projects focussing on “dual career”.
So the three EAS representatives took the chance to inform about the EAS network and get information about the slightly change within application, evaluation and financing rules and regulations of EU project funding.
A participating number of more than 500 representatives from sport and sport related institutions from all over Europe proofed the increasing awareness and success of the program itself.
The Commissioner for EU Education, Culture, Youth and Sport, Mr Tibor Navracsics, and the Head of Sport in the Executive Agency, Ms Ute Haller-Block, opened personally the meeting and pointed out the strong will of the Commission to support the development of sport structures and the awareness for sport and its benefit for the European societies in the member states.
